No Progress.....

Or should I say very slow progress. With the beginning of the new year I've been trying to make some positive changes in my life. I've been working out pretty regularly and I've been trying to cut soda and beer out of my diet. This is harder than I thought. I'm still working on my promotion at work...its what they call a "developmental opportunity" that was supposed to last 6 months and now is going on 9 :(
I got in a car accident right before NYE, not my fault. I got rear ended by a car that got rear ended by a dodge ram. So I got an new OEM bumper, (mine was showing wear) new OEM trailer hitch and both rear rockers behind my rear wheels got repainted. I also got a new front lower valance and new fog lights at 50% off using my body shops account. SCORE! He even painted the front valance for just the cost of paint. She is an older truck but I love her and I want to drive her into the ground. At least she will look better as I do it. Now its time for a set of mudflaps to protect the shinny new paint.
OH and one more thing...I've been house shopping and I found a new home for my Cressida project! Cressi gets the 3rd stall on the right!

Time to get a start on this blog.

I started this blog over the summer. I must say that was inspired by some of the blogs I was reading and I got excited to start my own. Needless to say I never really did much with it. Its very close to the start of a new year and I hope that I can change a lot of things for the better in my life. I had a great Christmas with all of my family. I'm very excited about all the possibilities of this new year. Like many blogs that I have read, I'm not sure who will really care to read this blog or where it will even go. It may go nowhere. But thanks to those who read and comment.

New Edition!

Picked this wonderful specimen of Japanese automotive engineering today.

It was this that made up my mind.

Done deal.
There is a long story with a large amount of fail, but I'm at work and I don't have any more time.

Parting out my Coupe

Its a bit backwards to be starting my blog this way. I purchased an s13 coupe to replace one that I had a few years ago and I ended up with a rusty Fred Flintstone mobile. I was more that willing to repair it until I removed all the sound deadening material and saw just how bad it really was.
Here she is the day I picked her up. Looks good for $270

My buddy Elmo for good measure.

Guy threw in crappy wheels. I think he just wanted them out of his garage. American Racing?

Rust!

So I ordered one of these. Guy from Nissan said its the last one in Nissan's inventory.
RARE!

Meanwhile I picked up this.

Said to have 60k on the clock. It came out of an s14.

Then I pulled the carpet and saw...

It just got worse from there. At some point you have to put a price on your time. So we did this.

Its sad to see her go. I had to face the fact that if I don't buy a 4door than it will just sit in the garage. I need something rwd that I can still drive my kids around in.
